Hi, I’m Jaelene Luna,
I am a bilingual licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), who believes healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and safe enough to untangle what’s been carried for far too long.
Growing up, I saw firsthand how unresolved trauma doesn’t just disappear- it grows, follows you into adulthood, and too often becomes a cycle passed from one generation to the next. That’s what inspired me to become a therapist. I wanted to be a change agent, someone who could help break those cycles and create space for healing.
My biggest passion is helping children and teens, especially those navigating emotions that feel overwhelming, trauma, or situations they’ve had no control over. I want them to feel seen, heard, and understood. Most importantly, I want them to bloom—to believe in themselves, build strong self-esteem, and carry the confidence they need to continue navigating life with strength and hope.
As a first-generation Latina, I understand the unique challenges that can come with navigating two cultures, balancing family expectations, and breaking barriers. I bring that lived experience into my work, especially when supporting young adults who may feel unseen or misunderstood.
My ultimate hope is simple: for the world to be full of happy children, because happy children grow into happy, healthy adults.
In my work with children, I use play-based techniques to help children express themselves, process big feelings, and build confidence. I work alongside parents to help them better understand their child’s behavior and learn how to support them with connection, consistency, and compassion.
Outside the therapy room, I live in Rosenberg, TX, with my husband, but I’ll always be a proud Houston city girl at heart. I love Mexican and Asian food, shopping, traveling, spending time with loved ones, binge-watching Netflix shows, and doing Pilates. I also love reading play therapy books and attending play therapy trainings to become a Registered Play Therapist. I am currently under the supervision of Karen Sullivan, LCSW RPT-S, to become a Registered Play Therapist.
